FAQs Visiting the Recreation Centre

General

Has MRRC completed a COVID Safety Plan?

Yes, the COVID Safety Plan certificate is displayed at the entrance of the facility.

What hours will MRRC be opening during the trail phase?

The Centre will be open
Monday to Friday, on reduced hours 6am - 4pm.
Saturdays 8.00am to 12 pm
Closed Sundays
These hours will be monitored and reviewed throughout the trial phase.

What is the trial phase?

With the easing of COVID-19 related restrictions from 18 May, parts of MRRC are allowed to reopen.

The health and wellbeing of our patrons and staff is our priority and we have made significant changes to adhere to these new restrictions. As the requirements will heavily impact on the facility operations we are used to, we have developed a trial phase which will start on 25th May, and be reviewed by 5 June. Staff will be carefully monitoring safety procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all users. Any changes will be revised and implemented in line with additional health advice and State Government Roadmap announcements.

What social distancing measures has MRRC put in place?

We are just as excited as you are to reopen the doors, but please do not high five, hug or shake hands with others. The Centre will look a little different to how you saw it last, with socially distanced markings on the floor at Customer Service . We also encourage all members to use EFTPOS facilities instead of cash.

When will Margaret River Recreation Centre reopen?

Monday 25 May 2020 at 6am.

Why isn't the gym open?

The State Governments Roadmap announced for Phase 2 easing of restrictions does not allow for this.

Will MRRC be open on the weekends?

Open Saturdays 8.00am to 12 pm
Closed Sundays

Are the changing rooms open?

Changing rooms will not be open but Yes the toilets are open.

Please arrive to the Centre ready to commence your activity without needing changing facilities.
